The electric Porsche Macan gets two new versions and an off-road-themed design package

Porsche has launched two new versions of the Macan EV. Along with these, a new aesthetic package is introduced to the range.

The German manufacturer is expanding its range of electric SUVs with the launch of two new versions of the Porsche Macan EV. The new electric SUV from the German manufacturer can now also be bought in a basic version with a single engine mounted on the rear axle.

The electric motor produces 340 hp or up to 360 hp and 563 Nm with the help of the overboost function. The least powerful Macan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 220 km/h. It’s also the lightest version in the range, being 110kg lighter than the Macan 4.

This also makes it the most efficient, with Porsche saying it can travel up to 641 kilometers on a single charge thanks to its 100 kWh battery. As with all versions of the electric Porsche Macan, the 800-volt PPE architecture supports DC charging of up to 270 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 21 minutes.

The new Macan 4S completes the range of the new electric SUV from Porsche

The next member of the range is the more powerful Macan 4S, which sits between the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo. It has a configuration with two electric motors that produce a combined power of 448 HP or 516 HP with the overboost function activated.

The Porsche Macan 4S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. For this variant, Porsche announces a maximum range of 606 kilometers.

The Macan 4S has adaptive air suspension as standard and electronically controlled dampers (PASM) with the option to select rear axle steering. In addition, the Macan 4S AWD is equipped with the Porsche Traction Management system, which can be optionally integrated with Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

Last but not least, customers will be able to select the Off-Road Design exterior package, which also offers a 10mm higher ground clearance compared to a standard Macan.
