The entire program of the SoMo Borac conference has been published! TikTok, Google, CME Adria and Mediahuis are just some of the companies whose lecturers come to Zagreb

ZAGREB – This year’s SoMo Borac will be held in less than ten days, and promises to be the biggest so far, with a record number of entries in 16 categories that include the best digital projects from the region.

The awards ceremony, which will be held on October 25 in the Student Center in Zagreb, will be preceded by the second all-day conference. A dynamic set of lectures, the topics of which are based on concrete advice on how to use AI in everyday work in the media and marketing, was published on the website of SoMo Borca. The goal of the conference is to show that AI is not alone ‘buzzword’but a concrete tool that helps optimize business, create personalized content, analyze data and make better decisions. Some of the most prominent names of the digital scene are coming to SoMo Borac, and one of them is Liesbeth Nizet, head of monetization of future audiences of one of the leading European media groups – Media house Grupa. The co-organizer of the competition, the Croatian Association of Digital Publishers (HUDI), made sure that one of the leading media experts in a lecture entitled “Enhancing journalism for the next generation” gave the audience advice on how to attract younger generations, while maintaining trust and reputation.

Artificial intelligence is definitely now an inevitable and indispensable component, not only of publishers, but also of many other industries. At the SoMo Borac conference, the audience will not only get an insight into the possibilities of its application, but also its concrete application – tips, “tricks” and the like. Stella Litou, CEO of the group, also comes from leading media groups CME Adria and the President of the Management Board of RTL Croatia, who will explain how to successfully use local strengths to compete with global giants in a dynamic media environment. Mrndže, who opened Google’s office in Croatia and is responsible for business development in the region, will talk about how Google uses artificial intelligence to transform industries and adapt to the future that is already here.

Galeb Nikacevicone of the most popular podcasters in the region, will explore in his lecture how the Agelast podcast redefines the rules of media production, creating content outside of traditional frameworks. The impact of the podcast format on the media space, the reasons for its growing popularity, the impact on journalism, culture and marketing, and future trends in this format, which is increasingly shaping the modern media space, will be discussed.
