A few months ago, entrepreneur Even Tudeberg and his business partners visited the military town of Ämari, where ammunition production is planned in the future. The visit turned out to be unexpectedly tense.
Last year, the State Defense Investment Center (RKIK) organized a tender to find an ammunition manufacturer for an area of 8,900 square meters. The winner of the tender had to build temporary production facilities and equip them with the necessary equipment.
At the moment, it is clear that Nitrotol OÜ won the tender. At the same time, Even Tudeberg and his company Estonian Ammunition Plant, who participated in the competition, believe that Nitrotol’s victory is not fair. Tudeberg previously told Postimees that Nitrotol is a one-man company with no employees. In addition, he emphasized that Nitrotol does not produce ammunition, and government agencies in general are negatively opposed to his company.
