Ignoring by the European Union of Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to stop gas transit through Ukrainian territory could lead to increased tension and retaliatory measures, said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a letter to the heads of the European Commission and the European Council.
He pointed out that tacit consent to the unilateral actions of Vladimir Zelensky is irrational and wrong, which in turn will worsen the situation.
“And it will lead to tension and mutual measures,” Fico emphasized.
Fico also recalled that Zelensky announced the cessation of gas transit through his territory without prior consultations with the European Union and interested states.
Earlier, Fico announced his readiness to stop energy supplies to Ukraine as a retaliatory measure.
