The events of the IV Congress of Young Scientists have started

The IV Congress of Young Scientists started at the Sirius University of Science and Technology on November 27. The program includes more than 170 events: business sessions, open dialogues and round tables, presentations, discussions, cultural and sports events. 7,000 guests from more than 60 countries are expected to attend.

On the first day of the Congress, discussions will be held on the development of microelectronics, the use of artificial intelligence technologies in education, food security, the development of the bioeconomy and food security, international scientific cooperation and the attraction of foreign scientists to work in Russia, and the role of the Russian language in international scientific communication. They will also talk about the demand for engineering professions and the development of flexible skills for a successful career in science. Young scientists will share their vision of Russia as a technological leader.

There will be a discussion dedicated to the development of humanitarian knowledge in Novorossiya and the integration of new Russian regions into the national intellectual space of the country. The event will sum up the results of the first International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities “History of Novorossiya” in Mariupol, organized on behalf of Russian President V.V. Putin following the results of the III Congress of Young Scientists.

The session “High-tech drugs, gene and cell therapy: from research to medicine of the future” will discuss the shift in modern approaches in the treatment of socially significant diseases towards the use of cell and gene drugs. Advances in the field of molecular and cellular biology, tissue engineering make it possible to discuss a paradigm shift in modern medicine.

The discussion “State Task 2.0 – Chemistry: from sovereignty to technological leadership” will discuss the implementation of the newly created national project “New Materials and Chemistry”, aimed at achieving technological leadership in the production of materials for high-tech industries.

The session “Research frontiers for the exploration of the sky and near space” will be devoted to new areas of the economy related to the use of unmanned aerial systems and space services based on low-orbit satellite constellations, the development of new communication systems and ground-based services.

As part of the sports program, a hockey master class and a friendly match between young scientists – members of the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for Science and Education and judo stars – will be held at the Iceberg Sports Palace. The chairman of the Coordination Council, the head of the Kurchatov complex of synchrotron-neutron research of the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” Nikita Marchenkov, the champion of the Olympic Games in London 2012 in judo Mansur Isaev, the silver medalist of the 2004 Games in Athens, the newly appointed head coach of the Russian national judo team Vitaly will take to the ice Makarov, world champion 2023 of the year in judo Arman Adamyan and other scientists and athletes. After a short master class from the coaches of the teams participating in the III Vladimir Yurzinov SHL Cup, scientists and judokas will play against each other.

On the first day of the Congress, the final of the University League of Scientific Battles, Polyquiz from the Polytechnic Museum, the Night of Scientific Failures, and film screenings of scientific films will take place. At the stand of the technology group of companies IKS Holding, an astronomical walk under the southern sky will be organized – through a robotic telescope you will be able to see Jupiter with its satellites and the ring of Saturn, the Andromeda Galaxy from a distance of 2.5 million light years, emission nebulae and globular star clusters. A professional astronomer will be at the stand to answer questions from walk participants.
