The famous marlenka cake, like from the commercial (VIDEO)

Marlenka cake is known all over the world.

In Russia, they call it medovik, because they make it with local honey. We bring you a recipe for a slightly different, but no less delicious version.

Ingredients:

For kore:

500 g of plain flour
100 g of butter
3 spoons of homemade honey
200 g of powdered sugar
1 level spoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of vinegar
2 eggs

For file:

370 ml of condensed milk boiled in a can in a pot with water

220 g of butter
450 ml of milk
2 spoons of granulated sugar
1 instant vanilla pudding
a handful of chopped walnuts and dark chocolate

Recipe for marlenka cake:

To make the cake, put the butter, honey, powdered sugar in a bowl and heat it over low heat until it melts completely, stirring occasionally. In the mixture, add a spoonful of baking soda, previously soaked and mixed with a spoonful of vinegar. After adding soda with vinegar, continue to mix at a gentle temperature. Cook the mixture until it turns a dark orange color, then remove from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally, then add the beaten eggs.

After that, gradually pour the flour until everything is mixed. Mix with a spoon while you can, and when it hardens, knead by hand on a floured work surface. Divide the warm dough into six equal parts, then roll out each part thinly to about 2 mm, the size of a baking sheet. Cover the tray with baking paper on which the dough will be placed. Cover with foil and let it rest. Bake each crust at 180 degrees for 4 to 5 minutes. When they are baked, take them out of the pan and leave them on the work surface to cool.

To make the filling, first cook the pudding without sugar and cool it to room temperature. Mix the cooled caramelized condensed milk with butter, then add it spoon by spoon to the pudding and mix. Put up to two spoons of filling on each crust, spread and arrange the crusts one on top of the other. At the end, spread the rest of the filling on the surface and sprinkle with walnuts, then make patterns from the melted chocolate. Let it stand overnight in the fridge and then serve.
