The movie “ALL FACES OF GOODNESS” will be in theaters on September 12
The film “All Faces of Kindness” (Kinds of Kindness) directed by Jorgos Lanthimos will be on the regular repertoire of all domestic cinemas starting next week, September 12.
Renowned film director after the great success with the realization of “Poor Creatures” (Poor Things), this year’s winner of four Oscars, soon presented the audience with another eccentric title, not deviating from his previous, unusual approach.
“All Faces of Kindness” they are characterized as a triptych because it consists of three stories, with the same actors in different roles. Indispensable for Lanthimos this time too was a Hollywood star Emma Stone who also played in several of the director’s previous stories (“Mijenica”, “Poor Creatures”), and his upcoming announced title “Bugonia” also hints at a re-collaboration of the famous duo. In addition to Stone’s role, they also play Jesse Plemons, Willem Defoeas well as an increasingly engaged young actress Margaret Kvoli.
Longtime collaborators, co-writers Ethymis Philip and the director Jorgos Lantimos once again they “cooked” an unusual story for the big cinema screen, which the lead actor Plemons interprets as something he tried to find inspiration for in other films, but that it was difficult to find anything close to this one.
With the latest film, Lantimos introduces us to three different stories, one where a man who doesn’t have many choices tries to take control of his life, another that shows a police officer upset that his wife, after she disappeared and returned, now represents a completely different person and the third, about a woman who is determined to find someone different.
William Defoe, who portrays the three characters, states how Lanthimos renamed the classic themes, turning them into a different dynamic. “Jorgos takes the dynamics of an emotional relationship, such as a marriage, and puts them in the context of a business relationship between two people. It allows us to see the social conventions we have accepted in a different context.”
Emma Stone pointed out before the world premiere of the film in Cannes that she liked the script and the way it develops in a triptych. “The stories intertwine in a way that isn’t necessarily clear, but builds on what came before. I thought it was exciting.”
The new film by the great director Jorgos Lanthimos “All Faces of Goodness” will have its official premiere in Belgrade scheduled for September 11, in the Great Hall of the MTS Hall, starting at 8:00 p.m. before the cinema starts. Tickets can already be purchased at the box office and on the hall’s website – site mts Dvorane.
