The finalists for the Car of the year 2025 award

After the list with all the competitors in the running, here comes the shortlist of the 7 finalists who will compete for the prize Car of the year 2025whose awards ceremony will take place on January 10th at the Brussels Motor Show.

A group that also includes theAlfa Romeo Juniorthe small SUV from Alfa Romeo available in both an electric and motorized version mild hybrid. A long-awaited model that will have to compete with 6 contenders to take home the title Car of the Year 2025.

In strict alphabetical order here are the 7 finalistsselected after a screening that left out 35 cars, for the Car of the Year 2025 award:

<p>As you can see, electric cars are now king, with 5 models driven solely or also by battery powertrains. The only exceptions are represented by <strong>Cupra Terramar</strong> and new <strong>Dacia Duster</strong>both of which are also available with electrified systems. The two SUVs are also the largest of the group, made up mostly of A or B segment models. Also note the simultaneous presence of <strong>Renault 5</strong> e <strong>Alpine A290</strong>however considered as a single model.</p>

With the list of 7 finalists we enter the “hot” phase, which will see the 61 jurors engaged in testing in-depth information on all the models and then vote, with 25 points available to be divided for each car, with the obligation to vote for at least 5, without giving more than 10 points to each candidate.
