The boxing movie The Fire Inside, written by Moonlight director Barry Jenkins, received a great reception a week ago at the Toronto film festivals.
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for The Fire Inside, which had its world premiere last weekend at the Toronto Film Festival.
The boxing movie, written by Barry Jenkins, who is best known as the director of the Moonlight movie, received a great reception, and instead of the Prime Video streaming release, it will go to theaters in December.
The boxing biopic tells the story of Claressa “T-Rex” Shields. Shields won Olympic middleweight gold at the 2012 London Summer Olympics when she was just 17 years old. At the Rio de Janeiro Olympics 2016, Shields won his new Olympic victory.
The Fire Inside is the directorial debut of Rachel Morrison, who is known for filming Mudbound and Black Panther, among others.
New face Ryan Destiny plays Shields and Brian Tyree Henry plays his coach.
The Fire Inside hits US theaters on December 25th. There is no information about the premiere in Finland yet.
