The US authorities have announced that they will admit Qatar into its visa waiver program. This will allow visa-free travel by Qatari nationals for up to 90 days starting December 1.
The US Department of Homeland Security and the State Department announced that the State of Qatar has become the first Gulf country to be admitted to the US Visa Waiver Program.
US officials congratulated Doha on meeting strict security requirements for membership, according to Reuters.
Romania could be the next country admitted to the Visa Waiver program
Qatar is the 42nd member of the program. Croatia was added in 2021 and Israel last year.
Romania could be the next country admitted to the program if it fulfills the conditions by the end of September.
