the first image of the dock has leaked

It’s been months since Nintendo’s Switch 2 leaked. From its technical characteristics to its design, including its launch catalog, almost everything goes there. It’s difficult to disentangle fact from fiction, so it’s important to take everything with a grain of salt until Nintendo decides to announce its next console. By then, it is possible that the Switch 2 has finished leaking completely, in particular thanks to the appearance on the web of a first image of its potential dock.

Nintendo Switch 2: a first image of the dock

After the Joy-Con, it’s the turn of the Nintendo Switch 2 dock to leak. At least, if the rumors are to be believed. According to Laura Kate Dale, confirmed insider, the Nintendo Switch 2 dock would reveal its first image here. The insider has proven herself in the past by revealing in particular the existence of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle sur Nintendo Switch.

She returns to the charge through a Bluesky post, sharing the information at her disposal. She includes an image, from a “reliable source”, before revealing that this dock would be accompanied by a 60W charger, specifying in passing that the current charger “will not power the Switch 2 when docked“.

This is a new photo I have recieved from a trusted source showing a Switch 2 Dock, featuring visible input and output voltage information (other information obscured). In addition, I have learned that the Switch 2 ships with a 60W charger for use with the dock.

According to Dale, this image “lends credibility to rumors that the system will perform much better in a dock than in a handheld, using extra power to enhance graphics using AI“. Information to be taken with a pinch of salt, obviously. Leaks are multiplying for the Switch 2, while Nintendo persists in its silence. But with the end of year holiday period over, it is possible that the manufacturer will finally formalize the design of its console.
