The marketing of the Jaecoo J7 has yet to start in Italy but we are already looking at the next models of the Chinese company arriving in Europe, including Italy. We do this thanks to an official sketch that anticipates the shapes of the Jaecoo J5compact SUV that will be positioned below the J7.
A sketch and nothing more, but it begins to give an idea of what the style of the second model from the Chinese brand will be. Property of Chery landed in Europe together with Omoda.
Sporty
A few lines that immediately give an idea of how the Jaecoo J5 wants to position itself as a sporty SUV, at least in the lines which – in some aspects – recall the Range Rover Evoque. We do not know if it will be a competitor to the English one – 4.37 meters long – or if it will be in a higher segment. From its bigger sister it seems to take the horizontal lines of the roof, so as not to sacrifice habitability.
Jaecoo
The J5 will follow Jaecoo’s design language called “Inspiration of Nature”, which features straight lines and sculptural shapes combined with softer, more curved elements.
Nothing is known yet about the engines of the Jaecoo Compact SUV. It could use the Omoda 5 platform – 4.37 meters long – and therefore mount the 1.5 turbo petrol or the 204 HP electric powertrain with 62 kWh LFP batteries and a declared autonomy of 430 km. We will know more in the coming months.
