Will the Edge 50 Neo be Motorola’s new budget phone? We don’t have a clear answer, but that’s what images and information released online seem to indicate about the next device in the Edge 50 range. This is after the company unveiled the 50 Pro and 50 Ultra models not long ago.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is the successor to the 40 Neo, a phone released in the fall of 2023. All we know about it so far are its looks and alleged features.

Motorola Edge 50 Neo: Design

X Network user Haneet recently posted some renders of the new device and what are believed to be its specifications. The phone would weigh 171 grams and be 8.1 mm thick. The rest of the dimensions would be 71.2 x 154.1 mm. On the screen side, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo would have a 6.4-inch pOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. In addition, the phone would have IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

Available colors would be blue, red, cream and grey. The grippy back panel is said to be made from vegan leather.

Possible specifications for Motorola Edge 50 Neo

From the images you can see that the Power and Volume buttons are on the right side. There is no button on the left side. The top of the phone has Dolby Atmos branding along with a noise canceling microphone. At the bottom we have a Type-C port, the SIM tray, the speaker grille and a microphone.

According to the rumor, the phone would have a 4319 mAh battery and MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with Mali-G615 GPU. Memory configurations would be 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB. The operating system would be Android 14 with Hello UI and the device would support NFC and Bluetooth 5.3.

What camera system will the phone come with

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo would be equipped with four cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide, a 10MP telephoto sensor and a 32MP selfie camera. Pictures uploaded online show that the camera island would be similar to the one on the Edge 50 Pro.

It remains to be seen how much the Motorola Edge 50 Neo will sell for and what availability it will have.
