Xiaomi is gearing up to launch two new smartphone models that promise to grab the attention of tech enthusiasts. We are talking about the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro, which will be officially presented on September 26.
Design and colors
As expected, the first renders of the new phones from the user also appeared MysteryLupin on Twitter. The 14T model will be available in four colors, while its bigger brother, the 14T Pro, will come in three variants.
A detail that immediately catches the eye is the presence of the Leica logo on the camera housing on the back. Both models have a modern design with flat edges and a rectangular camera module in the upper left corner.
Interestingly, the standard version appears to have a more curved glass back than the Pro model. The cameras are arranged in a rectangular module in the upper left corner of the back, with three main cameras and a fourth “ring” for the LED flash.
Although neither model features a periscopic zoom camera, this is not surprising: the T series never included such cameras.
Specifications
The Xiaomi 14T has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 4,000 nits. Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra processor, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The Pro model retains many of the features of its smaller sibling, but jumps to the Dimensity 9300+ processor and offers 512GB of storage.
Both phones will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
Photo rooms
The standard model has a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX906 sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera.
For selfies, we have a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Pro model comes with a more advanced 50-megapixel Light Fusion-900 main sensor, otherwise keeping the same configuration as the standard one.
How much will they cost?
According to the rumors, the standard version would have a recommended price of 699 euros, while the Pro version would cost 899 euros.
The new Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro seem to be aiming directly at competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Google Pixel 9. It remains to be seen whether they will outclass them or not.
