The first kilometers of the Northern Bypass in Kragujevac are being paved

On the Northern Ring Road around Kragujevac, a major infrastructure project, asphalting of the first 5.5 kilometers has begun, from the Petrovac interchange to the Jovanovac interchange. This section is particularly important for Kragujevac because the new industrial zone is located right there, and this will enable the arrival of new investors.

The Northern Ring Road is also a strategically important road that connects Kragujevac with the Belgrade-Niš highway and connects it to the Moravian Corridor, as well as all other important roads.

– This section will be in operation until the middle of next year. The plan is to put the first 11 kilometers up to the Topola loop into operation by the end of 2025, which is also important for people coming from that part of Šumadija. This means that half of the Northern Ring Road, which has a total length of 22 kilometers, will be in use – declared Goran Vesić, Minister of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure, who together with Nikola Dašić, Mayor of Kragujevac and Zoran Drobnjak, Director of JP “Srbija Putevi”, visited works on the Northern Ring Road.
