It’s becoming a little more precise: Apple would announce a first batch of Macs with M4 processors at the end of October, with the objective of starting marketing from November 1 for some of them… but also for a return: the iPad Mini (seventh of the name).
This is now more of an open secret than anything else: Apple will most likely launch its first Macs with M4 processors this fall… but not only that. As previous rumors had already implied, the iPad Mini would also make a comeback through a seventh generation, three years after the introduction of the iPad Mini 6.
In detail, Mark Gurman indicates that Apple would be banking on a presentation at the end of October for its new Mac M4s, followed by a commercial launch from November 1st. In his newsletter PowerOnthe journalist of Bloomberg explains that the 14 and 16 inch MacBook Pros will be affected, as will a new Mac mini (largely redesigned according to Gurman, the device would benefit from a new format and could carry up to an M4 Pro chip) , and a new iMac.

However, we do not know if the new iPad mini would also be marketed from November 1… or if it would arrive on the market a little later during the same month.
The other Macs in the catalog will also gradually move to the new M4 chips (for the moment only available on the latest iPad Pros), but later: in the first half of 2025. Next year, Apple should in fact launch new 15- and 13-inch MacBook Air equipped with M4, potentially alongside the iPhone SE 4 and new iPad Air.
We also know that new Mac Studio M4 and Mac Pro M4 are in development. Still according to Mark Gurman, these two models would however be marketed later, in the middle or end of next year.
