In less than two months, the premiere of the latest smartphones from Samsung’s flagship series may take place. Sources suggest the third week of January, which sounds credible, because the Korean giant already premiered its devices on a similar date. Whether this will be true remains to be seen, but for now we probably have our first look at a real example.

A fresh video appeared on Reddit, showing the upcoming phone in almost all its glory. So far, the only things available are renders and copies only imitating the Samsung flagship. They have already announced that this Ultra format model may undergo a change and move away from its traditional form.
As you can see, the form inherited from the Samsung Galaxy Note has completely disappeared. There are no longer clearly rounded edges on the sides, only a sharp cut straight from the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ and other flagships. In turn, the rounding at the top of the screen is consistent with other leaks. The buttons seem to be in the same place. It looks as if all models were to have a uniform, immediately recognizable form.
Naturally, such recordings should be treated with a pinch of salt. The question arises about the convenience of such a design. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has lost the pleasure of using it, opening it with one hand is uncomfortable, so it defeats the purpose. We can expect a similar situation here. Few people were fans of iPhones with sharp edges, because they were not comfortable to hold. Apple returned to a more convenient, rounded format. If it really turned out to be true that these edges were beveled, would it really be more comfortable in the hand? Especially when taking notes!? Time will tell.
