The Fishing Union stated that there will be no shortage of red caviar in Russia

In 2024, there is no shortage of red caviar on the Russian market, said Alexander Panin, Chairman of the Fisheries Union.

“Production does not reach the average annual consumption volumes, but there is no shortage of red caviar and there will not be,” he said RBC.

Panin explained that this is due to processors retaining carryover balances of frozen products from last year.

Earlier, the head of Rosrybolovstvo, Ilya Shestakov, predicted a decrease in red caviar production by the end of 2024 to about 11-13 thousand tons.
