Dense fog has brought the arrival of winter in the northern district of Naogaon. Monday morning was a little different for the people of Naogaon township. Fog was seen from dawn to 8 am. The entire district is covered in fog. More fog is seen from the city towards the countryside.

In the morning, different areas can be seen, due to the fog around, a different natural environment prevails. The worshipers of Fajr prayers, people going for a walk and workers going to work are excited to enjoy the foggy atmosphere. Due to the fog, some vehicles on the road were seen driving with their headlights on in the morning.

Locals say that it is hot during the day and mild cold is felt at the end of the night. On the last night, kantha or a thin blanket has to be wrapped around the body. But thick fog and severe winter are still some time late.

Abdul Awal of Barunkandi area of ​​Sadar Upazila said, ‘Suddenly this morning, fog has fallen all around. I finished the prayer and went out for a walk. It feels so good to walk. Today, the thick fog in the morning says that winter is coming.’

Iqbal Hossain, who went out for a walk in Naogaon city, said, ‘I go out for a walk almost every morning. But this morning felt a little different. Looking at the white fog around, it seems that the winter day has arrived. But not too cold. But the fan had to run in the house till half the night. Very hot during the day.’

Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of the Badalgachi Meteorological Observatory of the district, said, ‘The minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius in Naogaon today at 6 am. Even though it is sunny and hot during the day, the temperature decreases after evening. At this time the monsoon is leaving. That’s why thick fog suddenly appeared all around. It can be called the message of the arrival of winter. But it will feel a little cold from November.
