The forint is at a new two-year low against the dollar

A Portfolio according to the Hungarian currency, the new year started badly. Against the euro, it fell from 411 to close to 414 on the first trading day, but it was even more spectacular that the forint fell to a new two-year low against the dollar.

On Thursday afternoon, the exchange rate of the forint against the dollar reached HUF 401.5, and then fell to 403.1, the last time it was at this level in the fall of 2022. According to the portal, this will make refueling even more expensive in the coming days, in addition to the excise tax increase in Hungary at the beginning of the new year.
