The Fradi would climb out of the pit and take revenge immediately

“I believe that the sun always shines after a storm.” We have to go into the field on Saturday not to lose these two points – the linebacker of the Fradi women’s handball team, Dragana Cvijics, showed the direction before the Champions League match against Krim Ljubljana. After nine winning games – four times in the BL, five times in the league – Ferencváros came to a halt: the green and whites were left without a point in Metz, then DVSC saved the match with a draw in the championship with a seven-pointer after extra time. Fradi didn’t have too much time to recharge either mentally or physically, because only two days were available to prepare against the Slovenians.

In any case, it won’t be easy to climb out of the hole, because Fradi will play the strongest Ljubjaná in recent years in Érd on Saturday afternoon from 16:00. In addition to the Slovenian classic Ana Gros, who is returning from Győr in the summer, among others the Brazilian Bárbara Arenhart, the Montenegrin Tatjana Brnovics, Itana Grbics and Jovanka Radicsevics, as well as the French Grace Zaadi and Tamara Horacek, the extremely massive Krim follows a similar path as the green -whites, because after four wins, they lost for the first time in the BL last weekend, at home against the Romanian CSM Bucuresti.

– I am sure that we will be able to perform better than in the last two meetings. Krim plays in the same system as last season, I know what Dragan Adzic wants to see on the pitch. Their squad has strengthened compared to last year, they are much more dangerous now, but I am confident that we will play well against them, especially since we can play at home, in front of our own fans, which is an extra for us. I believe that we can do it, that we can level up, as we have always done before in similar cases, and we will win against Krim on Saturday. The season is very long, we are only at the beginning, we can change everything and take control back into our hands – said Cvijics, who visited the Slovenian capital twice before.

The two teams have so far met 16 times in the BEK and the BL, in addition to nine victories in Ferencváros, the two-time BL winners from Ljubljana won seven times, who triumphed back and forth in the group stage of the previous competition.
