Both teams have three points in the 2nd group, with Italy in the lead with the full number of points, which won 2:1 over Israel on Monday.
The players of Slovenia moved to the first place in the 3rd group of the B-division. In the home match, they beat Kazakhstan 3:0 thanks to a hat-trick by striker Benjamin Šešek. In second place are the Norwegians, who triumphed over Austria 2:1 at home. Erling Haaland scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.
The players of Wales triumphed in Montenegro 2:1 mainly thanks to the express start of the match. Already in the 3rd minute they were leading 2:0, the home team could only reduce it when Driton Camaj succeeded in the 73rd minute.
The hat-trick was also seen by the spectators in Izmir, Turkey. Home striker Karem Aktürkoglu helped Turkey win 3:1 over Iceland. It was the Turks who jumped to the top of the table of the 4th group of the B-division by a score ahead of Wales.
The representatives of Kosovo won in Larnaca, Cyprus, over the home team 4:0 in the match of the 2nd round of the C-division. They have three points on their account, just like Cyprus, which did not follow up on the 1-0 victory in Lithuania. At the top of the table are still the Romanians, who defeated Lithuania 6:1 at home and have a full six points.
