The FRITZ!Box 7690 is now available in Spain

AVM has expanded its catalog of routers in Spain with the FRITZ!Box 7690, a new product compatible with the Wi-Fi 7 standard that is capable of offering a good level of performance maintaining a contained price. It offers advanced home automation control functions and is compatible with DECT, Zigbee and Matter standards.

At the design level, this router maintains the classic profile to which the German brand is accustomed. This is noticeable both in the line of the chassis and in the set of colors that AVM has used, since the white tone is maintained with red details and a gray finish at the bottom.

The FRITZ!Box 7690 is a dual-band router that can reach a speed of up to 5,760 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 1,376 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The first offers a higher level of performance and is less affected by interference, while the second has a greater range, but its maximum peak speed is lower and suffers more. interference measurement.

The performance values that this router can achieve are very high, which makes it a good option for demanding users, since it will be able to meet their needs without any problems. Whether your goal is to play games, download things or stream content in 4K resolution, the FRITZ!Box 7690 can achieve more than enough bandwidth to offer an optimal experience in all these cases.

The German company assures that the FRITZ!Box 7690 also has very low latency, and has confirmed that it has the technology of Multilink Operation (MLO). This allows you to optimize the use of the bands by transmitting data through several bands at the same time. This also improves the stability of the network.

This new router also has the technology “puncturing”, which avoids occupied frequencies to reduce interference and network saturation, which optimizes the use of the available spectrum in the local wireless network to always have the best connection quality and the best possible performance.

Taking a look at its wired connectivity options we find a 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN portone 2.5 Gbps LAN port and two 1 Gbps LAN ports. It also has a USB 2.0 port to connect storage devices and printers, which will allow us to create our own cloud, and it has a DSL connector, compatible with VDSL (including Supervectoring and ADSL2+).

Its telephony benefits are not far behind either, since it includes a switchboard with DECT base that will allow us to connect up to six wireless phones and two analog telephones, and has answering machine, calendar management, voice to mail, fax to mail and call blocking functions.

As it could not be otherwise, the FRITZ!Box 7690 uses the operating system AVM FRTIZ!OSand is compatible with the FRITZ!App application ecosystem. I don’t have details on the official launch price yet, but I will update this article if I receive official information in this regard.
