The G.Skill CSO-DIMM DDR5 memory ticks over 8 GHz

The company came up with a 48 GB, two-channel kit, which it drove above the 8000 MT/s limit in ASRock’s new desktop PC.

G.Skill is not idle in the weeks starting the year, because demoed a 2 x 24GB CSO-DIMM DDR5 RAM kit in ASRock’s recently announced DeskMini B860 – Mini-STX – machine, and managed to stably achieve an effective clock signal of 8133 MHz.

The F5-8133K4652H24G modules supporting Intel XMP 3.0 profiles with CL 46-52-52-130 primary timings, accompanied by a 2T command rate, brought the mentioned speed and required 1.45 volts. The ASRock B860M-STX motherboard of the machine participating in the MemtestPro validation had an Intel Core Ultra 9285 processor with eight P-cores and sixteen E-cores.

Anyway, the memory type continues the compact SO-DIMM design, only thanks to its “double-decker” design, it can accommodate more chips, and among them, the CKD chip that dynamically regulates the operating frequencies and voltage also monitors it.
