The Galaxy Store is about to change. Not everyone will be able to download apps

Almost every owner of the company’s smartphone Samsung sometimes at least opened its official Android app store Galaxy Store. The latter also had the advantage that it did not necessarily require the creation of a user account until now. However, according to the portal SamMobile now changing.

Until now it was possible to download and update applications from Galaxy Storeeven if you do not have or are not logged into your Samsung account on your Galaxy smartphone or tablet. From September 25 however, that will change. After these days, you’ll be prompted to sign in to your app when downloading and updating apps Samsung account.

This should apply to downloads and updates third-party applications and also official applications from Samsung with a few exceptions. The Samsung account requirement may deter some users from using the Samsung Store. The South Korean manufacturer is trying to promote the Galaxy Store as a serious alternative to the official Google Play store.

Nevertheless, from the point of view of the number of users and applications, it still lags behind it. Until now, the Samsung account itself was only needed to use some applications, such as Samsung Health a Samsung Pay. Of course, it is also needed for some artificial intelligence functions Galaxy AIor to use the search service Samsung Find or a smart watch Galaxy Watch.
