Today, December 26, at around 12:00, the Vâlcea Gendarmerie quickly intervened to rescue some people in difficulty on the road between the Transalpina and Voineasa ski areas. The situation was signaled by a call to 112, which announced that four vehicles were stuck in the snow, near Curmătura Vidruței.
A crew of the Voineasa Montane Gendarmerie rushed to the scene of the incident. There were 8 adults and 4 children in the vehicles, all of whom were in good condition and did not require medical attention.
To unblock the road, the gendarmes coordinated the intervention of snow removal machines. They arrived quickly and, with the support of the response team, were able to clear the road, allowing the families to continue their journey safely.
The affected people, coming from Dolj county and Bucharest municipality, were returning from a cabin near the ski slope and heading to their homes to celebrate Christmas. It is important to note that all the vehicles involved were equipped with winter tires, complying with the legal regulations.
To ensure that no further incidents occur, the crew of the Montane Gendarmerie accompanied the convoy to Voineasa, providing support and ensuring safety along the route.
The Vâlcea Gendarmerie appeals to all those traveling in mountainous areas to check the condition of the roads before departure and to equip themselves properly for winter conditions. Adequate preparation and following the recommendations of the authorities can prevent such unpleasant situations.
This intervention emphasizes the promptness and professionalism of the mountain crews, who remain an important support for tourists in difficulty in the mountain areas of the county.
