The Generalitat Valenciana enables five WhatsApp channels to coordinate aid and accounts for donations

The Generalitat Valenciana has enabled five telephones to, through WhatsApp, receive requests for help that citizens and organizations want to provide to those affected by DANA, with the aim of channeling and ordering solidarity. Martorell City Council recommends following the guidelines of the Valencian Government to be able to coordinate and distribute aid effectively, avoiding private initiatives that could overflow.

Cáritas channels aid to care for the victims from Cáritas de Valencia and Cáritas d’Albacete. In addition, the Generalitat has launched the website somsolidaritat.gva.eswhere it is intended to centralize volunteering services to intervene in the area.

Care for relatives of missing persons

The Generalitat Valenciana has also enabled a specific telephone line to attend to the needs of families who have a missing person.

This is the telephone number 900 365 112 and is intended exclusively to provide and receive information about people with whom contact has been lost as a result of the DANA.
The Generalitat Valenciana requests that the line be used only to report the disappearance of a family member. In this way, they want to avoid the saturation of the line and ensure that the information reaches the research teams in the most efficient way.
