FC Barcelona footballers are back in their best form. The Catalans rule after four rounds of La Liga, having taken full points with a score of 13-3. The new coach Hansi Flick has a significant impact on the performances of one of the most successful clubs in Spain.

The German coach brought new methods to the team and revived stars that seemed to be in the doldrums. He doesn’t even have to worry about the club’s financial situation like his predecessors.

“Before the start of training, I thoroughly analyzed everything with the sports director, and the result was the strengthening of our medical staff. Thanks to this, the players feel great throughout the match and we can add the emphasis that we lacked,” says Flick.

His preparation methods extend beyond the boundaries of the field or the gym. As part of the regeneration, the players engage in cryotherapy, use hypoxia (reducing oxygen supply by breathing through a special mask) and take care of proper nutrition.

That is why players come to the training center two hours before the start of training.

The shock was the teeth check before the start of preparation. At Bayern Munich, it proved to Flick that various inflammations from the oral cavity could cause injuries or prolong treatment time.

“We work differently than usual. Football is no longer just about working with the ball. Physical preparation is the basis of good performances. I insist on that,” says Flick.
