The Google app may be getting a new ‘Activity’ tab

Google is rolling out a new feature for its main app that brings a new tab”Activity” at the bottom. The new option allows users to easily access the chronology of research is from Chrome than from the Google app itself. The “Activities” tab, which is currently being tested, will also serve as central hub for managing saved items, replacing the existing “Saved” tab.

Unlike a simple web view-based interface, the new “Activities” tab offers an app experience completely nativetherefore giving users a more integrated way to interact with their browsing and search history. Users will in fact be able to viewmanage and even perform actions how to save, share or delete specific history items directly within the app.

The functionality is in been in development for almost two months. It appears to be available now to some users in the US, so Google is likely testing it before rolling it out widely, which could happen in the coming weeks.
