The grant cheating minister must stop grant cheating

Domestic. By pretending to be in the summer cottage and in a rental apartment in Örebro, Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) blew the taxpayers out of tens of thousands of kroner in incorrect contributions. Now she herself makes a proposal to stop benefit fraud.

According to Svantesson, employers must provide information to the Tax Agency on which employees have been absent from work due to parental leave or child care.

The information will then be used by the Social Insurance Agency in its checks on, among other things, the widespread so-called VAB fraud.

– Now it will be easy to access the cheating, says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M). Swedens radio.

It was between 2014 and 2017 that Svantesson was faked at a series of strange rural addresses when she was in fact living with her family in a condominium in Stockholm.

She claimed all the time that she lived in the sparsely populated area for real and did everything right.
