With the emblematic sign “I DON’T FORGET” for the invasion of “Attila” in Cyprus, in 1974, the Hall of the Hellenic Parliament was illuminated, as this year completes 50 years since the illegal Turkish military invasion of the Megalonis.

The sign – symbol with which the Parliament was illuminated, was created by the writer, Nikos Dimos, on the morning of August 14, 1974, the day Cyprus was divided by the invasion of “Attila”, with 37% of its territory to this day remains under Turkish occupation.
“I DON’T FORGET” condenses, painfully, the entire Cypriot tragedy, half a century later and even though the martyred Megalonisos now belongs to the European Union.

The iconic sign was printed on thousands of stickers, copies were sent to newspapers, the slogan “I DON’T FORGET” was translated into many languages and sent to many parts of the world where there were Greek (Greek and Cypriot) students.
