The heating of the radiator and the bill begins

Households connected to heating radiators should be warm from Monday, October 14.

During the day, the heat will be felt in the apartments, regardless of the fact that it is not the official start, that is, October 15, when the new heating season starts, Dejan Stojanović, director of the Association of Heating Plants of Serbia (UTS), told Politika.

“Out of about 60 cities and municipalities that have a remote heating system, in three there are financial problems, which are not related to technical preparation. A word to Vrbas, Senta and Jagodina. “The competent authorities are aware of these problems and it is expected that they will be resolved during the next week,” says Stojanović.

With the new heating season comes new, increased bills at most heating plants. At BG power plants, heating will be 8.92 percent more expensive, so for an apartment of 60 square meters, the heating price will be higher by about 700 dinars. It will be more expensive in Kruševac by 20 percent, in Kragujevac by 15.6 percent, in Subotica the fixed part of the price has increased by 19.22 percent, and the variable part, which is paid according to consumption, by 8.4 percent, in Kraljevo by 1.42 percent. In Niš, only the fixed part increased by 27.06 percent, while the price of the variable part decreased by 8.89 percent. So far, heating is cheaper only in Sremska Mitrovica, by 10 percent.

The heating plant in Bor increased the prices by 30 percent on April 1 because, as they say, it has not been corrected since 2019. It is also more expensive in Majdanpek, which has not changed the price of heating for the last two years, by that amount since July 1.

UTS says that it has been confirmed to them that Zrenjanin, Smederevo, Trstenik, Novi Sad and Leskovac will not change heating prices. Energetika Kragujevac raised the price this year by 15.6 percent, while the heating plant in Kruševac raised it by 20 percent.

The heat from the heating plant to the apartments is not interrupted in the night between December 31 and January 1, between January 6 and 7 and between January 13 and 14, except in the case of extremely favorable outside air temperature which ensures maintenance of the prescribed temperatures.

Heating systems are required to maintain the temperature, so that it is 20 degrees Celsius in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens. They are obliged to heat if the outside temperature is lower than 12 degrees for three consecutive days.
