On the first trading day of the year, the Helsinki Stock Exchange’s main index ended up 1.8 percent to 9,646.49 points.
The biggest gainer of the day was a consulting company Dovre Groupwhich ended up with a 14.0 percent increase with a turnover of around 166,700 euros. The company announced today that it has completed the sale of its Project Personnel and Norwegian Consulting business to the Stockholm-listed Nyabille.
The initial purchase price paid in connection with the completion of the transaction was approximately EUR 35.3 million. From that, Dovre Group received approximately EUR 28.2 million in cash, and approximately EUR 7.1 million was deposited in an escrow account as collateral for the buyer’s interest in order to fulfill Dovre’s potential repayment obligation once the final purchase price is confirmed.

A rough stock market year is behind us
