The highest level for the price of coffee since 1977 / Day

The price of Arabica coffee on the New York Stock Exchange briefly reached $3.201 per pound on Wednesday.

The highest coffee price of all time was recorded in 1977, when it was 3.375 dollars per pound.

Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, experienced an unprecedented drought this year, which has raised concerns about the harvest in the 2025/2026 season.

Also, geopolitical factors, including shipping disruptions in the Red Sea, possible US tariffs and future European Union regulations on deforestation, are driving coffee prices higher.

At the same time, there are concerns in Vietnam about the supply of robust coffee, which was also caused by the drought during its growth. Coffee of this variety is used for the production of instant coffee.

The price of robust coffee in London is about 5,200 dollars per ton.
