Only one company submitted an offer in the tender for the preparation of the urban planning and technical documentation necessary to obtain the location conditions for the construction of the Aquatic Center in Surčin. It is the Hungarian company Market Építő Zrt from Budapest. Their offer of 23.8 million dinars without VAT was slightly lower than the estimated value of the public procurement.

The planned Aquatic Center will spread over on an area of 10 hectares and will be able to accommodate 4,000 spectators. It is intended for international competitions and training in water sports, and will be built according to FINA standards, writes eKapija.
Marko Stojčić, the chief urban planner of the City of Belgrade, pointed out that the center will be used for world and European competitions, as well as for training. According to him, the state is obliged to provide the appropriate infrastructure for successful athletes in water sports.

The aquatic center will be part of the EXPO complex in Surčintogether with the National Football Stadium and the residential complex, planned for the specialized exhibition “EXPO 2027 BELGRADE”, which will last from May 15 to August 15, 2027.
