Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Chittagong District Unit has solved the mystery of the murder of Amena Begum (33) in Anwara Upazila of Chittagong.
The organization has already arrested three people for their involvement in this incident. Yashin Arafat, the assassin of Amena’s husband, could not be arrested because he fled abroad.
The arrested are Jahed Nabid (30), son of Sultan Ahmed of Doublemooring Police Station, Md. Sohel (35) and Irfan Hossain (29) of Bairag area of Anwara. Among them, Irfan is a constable in Bangladesh Police. He is working at Gulshakhali Police Outpost in Rangamati Hill District.
Officials of the organization said on Saturday (September 26) that the wounded body of an unidentified woman was found in an abandoned brickfield surrounded by a hill on the eastern side of the China Economic Zone office in Bairag area of Anwara on October 3.
