The IAEA reported on loud explosions at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant – World – News

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported strong explosions near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZAES) in Ukraine on Sunday. They were heard at the time when, according to reports, there was a drone attack on the power plant’s training center. It was reported by the Reuters agency, writes TASR.

The UN watchdog agency has not yet been able to confirm the possible consequences for the plant, IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said.

“The IAEA is aware of reports of today’s alleged drone attack on the ZAES training center just outside the campus perimeter,” Grossi’s statement reads. “The reports indicate that there were no casualties or any impact on the equipment” of the nuclear power plant, the head of the IAEA added.
