The Importers’ Association will publish statistics on sales of new cars in the Czech Republic for last year

Prague – Today, at a press conference, the Association of Automobile Importers will publish statistics on sales of new cars in the Czech Republic for last year. According to expert estimates, last year sales increased by three to four percent to the level of around 230,000 cars.

In the 11 months of last year, sales of new passenger cars in the Czech Republic rose by 3.6 percent year-on-year to 213,710 vehicles. Škoda, Hyundai and Toyota sold the most. Thanks to subsidies, the number of registered electric cars increased by 62 percent to 9,946 cars, which means a share of 4.7 percent.

From the point of view of business classes, SUVs are in first place with a share of over 48 percent. In terms of fuel, gasoline leads with 65.7 percent, the share of diesel remains above 25 percent. The share of company cars in registrations was 75 percent by November.
