The Olympic Games in Paris offered another great curiosity, this time taken care of by sports shooter Yusuf Dikec.

The fifty-one-year-old Turk impressed in the mixed team 10-meter air pistol competition with his relaxed attitude, calm expression and left hand in his pocket. Even billionaire Elon Musk noticed it, using the term: “Nice.”
“He looked like he just went shopping and they sent him to shoot,” joked several posts on social network X directly under the status. “If he could have lit another fire, he would have won the gold medal,” continued the Turkish fan.
Sevval Tarhanová and Yusuf Dikec won silver when they lost to the Serbian duo Zorana Arunović – Damir Mikec in the final shootout with a ratio of 14:16. The Turkish duo was long after the gold because they led already 8:4 and later even 14:12, but the Serbs showed a remarkable turnaround.
At the shooting range in Châteauroux, however, Dikec dazzled above all else, whose casual attitude became a hit. Although it appeared from the pictures that he didn’t even use ear protection in the race, the opposite was true. He had yellow earplugs in his ears, which blocked out more noise. But it could not be seen from the angles of the television cameras.
Dikec is no Olympic newcomer. He has represented Turkey at all the Games since 2008, making his fifth Olympic start in Paris. And he would like to improve this number in the future.
“Hopefully I’ll still go to Los Angeles in four years for a gold medal,” he reflected during interviews with the media.
A passionate dancer and a successful graduate of Ankara University, he became a two-time world champion in 2014. At the European Championships, he already won seven of the most valuable metals.
