The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K could only be boosted to 5.7GHz

Rumors are circulating on the Internet about a boost of the upcoming processor to 5.7 GHz, which is about 300 MHz less on P-cores and 200 MHz more on E-cores than its predecessor.

One of the most reliable Intel leakers, social user of the X network @OneRaichu, posted a cryptic message on the platform. No one really knows what these numbers mean, but users believe that 57/4 could mean 5.4 GHz on all cores.

If this upcoming Intel Core Ultra 9 285K maxed out at 5.7GHz on P-cores and 4.7GHz on E-cores, it would be 300MHz slower (P-cores) and about 200MHz faster (E-cores) than its predecessor – Intel Core i9-14900K.

It should be noted that 285K is currently the best SKU we know of. However, there is still a possibility that Intel will introduce a new variant of the KS with even higher clocks, but there is no indication of this yet – not even at the level of speculation. The official presentation is expected in September at the Innovation event organized by Intel.
