The International Court of Justice finds that Israel’s settlement policy is contrary to international law

The international Court of Justice (ICJ) estimated this Friday that Israel’s settlement policy is contrary to the Fourth Geneva Convention about him forced displacement of persons and that, in particular with regard to the exploitation of the area’s natural resources, is contrary to international law.

The court also denounces the “systematic failure” of Israeli authorities to prevent violence by Israeli settlers against the Palestinian population in the occupied territory of the West Bank.

The ICJ further states that Gaza is an integral part of the territory occupied by Israel in 1967.y forms a “single territorial unit with the West Bank and East Jerusalem.”
