The press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported an increase in the number of extremist crimes committed by migrants.
As they say in Telegram departments, this was stated following a meeting dedicated to the work of territorial investigative bodies in the first half of 2024.
“In just the first 6 months of this year, the number of rapes committed by immigrants has increased by 5%, and indecent acts against children by 25%. The number of extremist crimes committed by migrants has increased by 55%,” the press service said.
As the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, noted, the current situation requires close attention from the law enforcement corps.
Earlier, Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev announced an increase in the number of crimes related to the organization of illegal migration.
