Ismo – the funniest outsider in the world gathered a good 18,000 viewers during its cinema distribution. So clearly more than most domestic documentaries.

At home Ismo – The funniest outsider in the world movie can be watched from Thursday, January 30, SF Anytime tells. The digital retail version will be available first, followed by the rental option in February.

Ismo – The funniest outsider in the world is, according to the creators, a film version of the saying “through difficulties to victory”.

A more detailed description tells about the documentary directed by Ilkka Hynnien and Saku Pollar as follows:

“Growing up in Jyväskylä, Ismo Leikola is a shy boy with a lively imagination who has trouble fitting in. As a student in his twenties, he comes across a new form of expression in Finland, stand-up comedy, which suits him perfectly. Ismo quickly becomes Finland’s most successful stand-up performer, but that is not enough for him. Ismo decides to go and create a career in the United States, the home country of the world’s most famous comedians.”
