The week mostly started with a rise on the Asian stock markets, the leading indices rose in Europe, and the mood in the USA is also good, thus continuing the rise seen in recent weeks. The mood is supported by the fact that Donald Trump plans to appoint the well-known investor with a background in hedge funds, Scott Bessent, as the Secretary of the Treasury, which investors seem to evaluate positively in terms of the market outlook. Stock market investors can also be happy that there are signs that a cease-fire may follow in the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict, as a result of which the price of oil and gold will also fall.
