It debuted in Spain Jaecoo 7 PHEVplug-in version of the Chinese compact SUV from the Chery Group. A new engine that joins the 1.6 petrol already available and which will arrive in Italy during the first half of 2025, with prices yet to be defined.

The new Jaecoo 7 PHEV is powered by a powertrain based on a 1.5 turbo petrol 4 cylinders, combined with two electric motors powered by an 18.3 kWh battery pack, for a total of 340 HP and 525 Nm of torque. Values ​​much higher than the 147 HP and 275 Nm of the purely thermal version, compared to which however it “loses” the possibility of having the all wheel drivewith the presence of only the front one.

Jaecoo 7, the debut in Spain

According to official data, the Chinese SUV can travel more than 90 km in electric modewith fast charging (the data relating to the maximum power accepted have not yet been communicated) which allows you to go from 20 to 80% of the battery capacity in 20 minutes.

Aesthetically, the Jaecoo 7 PHEV does not differ from the 1.6 petrol version, maintaining the solid style with clean lines intact. The same goes for the interior, dominated by the 14.9″ central monitor for the infotainment system, based on a processor Qualcomm 8155flanked by 10.25″ digital instrumentation.
