- Google is working on changes for its Gboard keyboard
- It should get a new font change feature
- There will be 2 font options to choose from
Some people use the basic keyboard integrated directly in the phone, but many users, on the contrary, are more comfortable Gboard – keyboard directly from Google. But it is not completely perfect and Google is continuously working on its improvements. About a year ago, there was an improvement in the appearance of Gboard, now the technology giant has focused on the issue font customization. What was not possible until now will hopefully finally become a reality.
What exactly will it be about? In the new beta version of Gboard update v14.4.06.646482735 are indications that soon it will be possible to change fonts exactly according to the font of the font on your system. Until now, this was unthinkable and only the default Gboard font style was (or still is) available. At the same time, within Android, you have the option to change and customize the font in various ways – but Gboard completely ignores your preferences.
If the upcoming change will be part of the next update, you will find it easily. In Gboard, tap Preferences and you will find an item in them Font (Font). If you open it, you will now have two options to choose from: default Gboard font a default system font.
However, if you’re expecting to be able to choose any font like you would in a text editor, you’re going to be sorely disappointed—that’s not yet possible on Android, let alone Gboard. Even this small step towards greater user freedom is better than nothing. And it will certainly please many.
Do you use Gboard and are you happy with it?
