Košice will once again come alive with innovations for two days. On September 24 and 25, they will host the largest innovation and technical conference with the SlovakiaTech Forum-Expo 2024 fair. The 6th edition will once again bring the hottest news from the world of science, development, innovation and new technologies, as well as numerous opportunities for networking and searching for potential investors. Slogan of the event “Future of mobility” reveals that the main theme will be the future of transport and electric mobility. Students, developers, scientists, startupists and representatives of companies and the state will also talk about smart homes, sustainability and digitization at the conference.

SlovakiaTech has traditionally been in Košice’s Kulturpark

SlovakiaTech president and former economy minister Juraj Miškov is convinced that increasing production efficiency can go hand in hand with sustainability. Technologies make life easier for mankind and increase work productivity. Our task is to take into account the planet and future generations. Therefore, in addition to increasing productivity, we must look for ways to reduce emissions and resource consumption,” Miškov revealed.

At the event, over 120 domestic and foreign speakers will present themselves on 3 stages over 2 days, and up to 41 exhibitors in the Expo section.past, The 5th year of the event was visited by a record 3,000 visitors. These were mainly experts in science, technology and innovation as well as representatives of companies and state institutions. I am pleased that more and more high school and university students are visiting us. Innovations are key for Slovakia, and without the introduction of new trends and technologies into all areas of our society, our country cannot be competitive in Europe and the world.” said the president of SlovakiaTech.

Filip Drímalka will present the future of (non)work and how to get used to life with artificial intelligence

Peter Kmec, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy, will also speak at the conference. As he statedSlovakia has the potential to be an innovative leaderno it needs cooperation between businesses, research institutions and government. In the field of research, development and innovation the office is preparing a new lawwhich will improve the coordination of these areas and optimize the provision of support to the research sector through agencies. At the conference, the office will present investments from the green chapter of REPowerEU, which they will bring innovations in the educational content of secondary vocational schools. Virtual reality will undoubtedly be one of the very popular stops in the Expo section. The attraction will undoubtedly be the four-legged autonomous robot ARTABAN, similar to a dog, which is intended for work in hard-to-reach terrains, during natural disasters and rescue work.

Pierre Renhult will present future trends in the automotive sector at SlovakiaTech in Košice’s Kulturpark

A holographic assistant for live communication will also be presented in Košice. This increasingly popular technology is gradually replacing classic online video conferences. Its principle consists in the fact that in one place the camera captures the speaker, and in another place the audience will see him in a realistic image, as if he were alive. For the first time in the history of SlovakiaTech, some speakers will appear on stage thanks to this technology in the so-called holobox. Visitors can see this technological innovation immediately on Tuesday, September 24, when SlovakiaTech will be officially opened by Slovak President Peter Pellegrini. Of course, through a speech from the holobox, since at that time he will already be on a foreign visit to the UN in New York.

Exhibitions of five Slovak universities await visitors: the Technical University in Košice, the University of Pavel Jozef Šafárik in Košice, the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, the University of Žilina and the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice.
