BANJALUKA – After the First International Trade Fair “Banja Luka EXPO 2024” was successfully held in April this year, organizational preparations have already begun for the next one, the second in order, which the organizers claim will be even more successful than the previous one.
Next year, the big fair event will be organized by the Banja Luka companies “RS Consulting i trade doo” and “Elite fair doo”.
The president of the management of the fair, Slaviša Kovačević, announced the beginning of organizational preparations that require great efforts to make the fair as successful as possible, and the Republika Srpska to be represented as well as possible through this event.
“Exhibitors at the previous fair were very satisfied with the organization, and expressed their desire to participate again at the upcoming fair, so next year we expect over 500 exhibitors from the country and the region. In addition to Bosnia and Herzegovina, so far we have registered participants from 10 countries, and we hope that this number will increase in the coming months.” said Slavisa Kovačević.
The fair will be held in the period from March 18 to 21 next year in the Student City complex of the University of Banja Luka, on slightly more than 15,000 m2 of open and closed space, which is a significantly larger area compared to the previous fair. Exhibitors from numerous fields such as: construction, electrical industry, mechanical industry, wood industry, IT sector, robotics, but also fields such as banking, insurance, real estate, design and architecture, and many other fields will have the opportunity to present themselves.
“We increased the exhibition space by about 5,000 m2, compared to the last fair, which was organized on an area of about 10,000 m2 of open and closed space. Due to the great interest among the participants, we were forced to expand the exhibition capacity and thus enable all interested parties to find their place at our fair. This fact shows how much interest reigns among the exhibitors, even though the fair is only scheduled for the second half of March, everyone interested is already looking for their place”.Kovačević confirmed.
Manifestations like this significantly contribute to the recognition of the economic potential of Republika Srpska, and the opportunity opens up for numerous domestic businessmen to strengthen mutual cooperation, but also to enter into numerous business partnerships with guests from abroad, which would contribute to the further development of Republika Srpska and its local self-government units.
“The main goals of the fair that we organize are to connect business entities within Bosnia and Herzegovina, to facilitate the exchange of business ideas and experiences among businessmen, to provide an opportunity for companies to present their products and services to the general public, and to identify potential opportunities for financial support and investment” ,emphasizes Kovačević.

At the same time, in addition to the rich exhibition program, the most current economic topics are dealt with through scientific meetings, round tables, educations and presentations, with a special focus on improving knowledge and examples of good practice. Business gatherings, meetings with economic, scientific and political delegations, but also direct meetings of businessmen. The fair will also bring together a significant number of banking institutions, non-governmental organizations and development agencies that provide support for the development of entrepreneurs.
