The second season of the HBO series “The Last of Us” is scheduled to start here in April exclusively on the pay-TV platform Sky and their streaming service Wow.
The upcoming second season of the hit series “The Last Of Us” will contain seven episodes. In terms of story, this takes place five years after the events of the first season. Returning in the new season include Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria. The events of the past now seem to exact a heavy price and the post-apocalyptic world is said to be even more brutal and unforgiving than before.

“The Last Of Us” stands for narrative quality

Although “The Last Of Us” has a much more serious tone than “Fallout,” both series have in common that they are set in a post-apocalyptic distopia, which apparently attracts many viewers regardless of the game template.
The long-standing prejudice that film or series adaptations of video games are of inferior quality and do not capture the essence of their own original has proven to be increasingly incorrect in recent years. It can therefore be assumed that some other traditional gaming brands may already be in the starting blocks for their own series.
