The legendary Half-Life 2 turned 20 years old. A major update has been released, the game is being given away for free

Half-Life 2 is 20 years old. In honor of this Valve released major update and made the game temporary free for everyone.

Firstly, the game now includes Episodes One and Two, as well as the Lost Coast level. They start automatically one after another. Steam Workshop support has also appeared.

Secondly, the company added 2.5 hours of commentary from developers. Players can now choose between original or DLC-created blood and fire effects.

There is now support for HDR lighting and tone mapping, increased resolution of lightmaps at most levels, improved intro, interface adapted for high resolutions, and much more.
